In this book, William is simply a clever young man — not even the central character — and O’Farrell makes no effort to lard her pages with intimations of his genius or cute allusions to his plays. Instead, through the alchemy of her own vision, she has created a moving story about the way loss viciously recalibrates a marriage. He was a thinking man, strategic man, and his emotions were not over the top. I really liked this different alpha hero because there are not too many like him out there. They were a great couple. Maggie’s brothers were fantastic too and I can’t wait for their books! Audio Thoughts: Narrated By Kate Rudd /Length 8 hrs and 21 mins.

This is the first book I have read by Lisa as Alicia Scott. I have read all her other crime books and loved every one, so I started Maggie's Man with a little trepidation. However I was not disappointed. The story line was good and credible. The spark between them was obvious and I couldnt wait to find out what would happen/5().

Maggie''s Man was apparently written during the early days of Gardner's career, when she had not yet found her proper voice. This book has far too much panting, moaning and underwear-shedding for my taste. Would you recommend Maggie's Man to your friends. Why or why not. No - too embarrassing.

Maggie S Man. Author: Lisa Gardner ISBN: Genre: Fiction File Size: MB. This is only the second Maggie Osborne Western historical romance I’ve read since I stumbled upon the extremely compelling Silver Lining. The Best Man isn’t as good as Silver Lining. Overall The Best Man is an easy and light read and entertaining enough – especially towards the second half of the book - but it’s rather all déjà vu/5(44).
I enjoyed Maggie's Man. Sue Fineman's books are predictable, but pleasant reads. In this one rescuing a child from "Mad Mavis" leads to adventure and for Johnny to his true love. Read more. Helpful.
